前からReadingDrill第１４回の解説をやってます。今回は、設問４の下線部訳をやります。
There are many legends regarding the origin of the Blarney Stone, and most of them are related to Bible stories. One says it was the rock that Moses struck with his staff to produce water for the Israelites, who were escaping from Egypt. Another says it had once been Jacob’s Pillow and that the prophet Jeremiah had brought it to Ireland. Yet another says it was the Stone of Ezel, which David hid behind while escaping from King Saul. Still others claim it is from the Wailing Wall of the temple in Jerusalem. ～

ここのポイントは「yetの意味の特定」、「省略表現の再現」そして「非制限用法の関係代名詞の訳出」の３つです。まず、yetで思いつくのが、中学以来お馴染みの「否定文のnot yet」と「疑問文のyet?」です。
⊿仕事はまだ終わってない。
The job is not finished yet.
⊿もう雨が降っているの？
Is it raining yet?

でも、この下線部ではanotherを強調している副詞ですから「さらに、その上」のyetです。次の例はonce moreを強調しています。
⊿さらにもう１度言いますが、そこへ行ってはいけません。
Yet once more I forbid you to go there.
下線部のはanotherを強調しています。
⊿さらに別の話には、それはイゼルの石だと書いてある。
Yet another says it was the Stone of Ezel.

次に「省略表現の再現」ですが、「接続詞＋Ａ＝Ｂ」の時、「Ａ＝」が省略されます。こんな具合です。
⊿若い頃、よく川に釣りに行った。
When I was young, I used to go fishing in the river.
⊿ダビデがサウル王から逃げている間に、彼はイゼルの石の後ろに隠れた。
While he was escaping from King Saul, he hid behind the Stone of Ezel.

最後に、「非制限用法の関係代名詞」の訳出ですが、要はコンマの所で区切って、and、but、becauseなどの適当な接続詞でつないでやって、先行詞を代名詞化したもので次の文を始めてやれば良いわけです。以上の３点に気をつけて訳出すると、こうなります。

「さらに別の話には、ブラーニー石はイゼルの石で、（そして）その後ろにダビデがサウル王から逃げている間に隠れたと書いてある」
