Let me explain the second Kanji character of the 80s for beginners, 「虫」.
「虫」＝insect, bug, worm
on – yomi「チュウ」
kun – yomi「むし」

⊿蓼食う虫も好き好き。
（たでくうむしもすきずき）
There is no accounting for tastes.
=Some bugs like to eat Tade.
◇蓼（たで）＝martweed
◇虫（むし）＝insect, bug, worm
◇～を食べるのが好き＝like to eat～

＊”蓼”is a kind of weed called “smartweed” in English. It tastes too bitter for us to eat. But some bugs like to eat this weed. So this old saying means that tastes differ.
