Let me explain the first kanji character of the 80 for beginners, 「一」.

「一」one, first
on-yomi 「いち」
kun-yomi「ひと（つ）」

■一日（いちにち）＝a day, all day (long)

⊿５才（ごさい）の子供（こども）は一日（いちにち）に４００回（かい）くらい笑（わら）う。でも、大人（おとな）は一日に１５回くらいしか笑わない。
□Five-year-old children laugh about 400 time a day, but adults laugh only 15 times a day.

◇５才の子供（ごさいのこども）＝five-year-old children
◇４００回（かい）＝400 times
◇笑う（わらう）＝chuckle, laugh
◇大人（おとな）＝adult(s)

＊大人になると「面白いこと」の枠が小さくなる。悲しいことだ。
